When struggling musician Jack Malik (Himesh Patel) survives a freak bus accident, he wakes to a world suffering from a collective blackout of some sort. He soon discovers that this world he’s waken up to has no recollection or knowledge of The Beatles, after he plays one of their best-known hit songs to his childhood friend Ellie (Lily James).
